The Blondie Story

The Blondie Story

★★★★

“Heart of Glass.”

Night Owl Music dominates the stage with their energetic, rock-and-roll performance of The Blondie Story, each and every cast member earned their standing ovation.

With visual aid, Night Owl Music’s leading lady begins the history behind Debbie Harry before she became the starlet we all know and love. We hear snippets taken from interviews and television performances of Blondie, giving more insight into Debbie Harry and her band. The piece is well thought out with enthusiasm and live music! Night Owl Music’s performers break out into iconic Blondie songs with each song acting as a reference to the chronology of the bands journey. Woven in between are moments of pure joy and of course comedy.

The Blondie Story debuted at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and although classified as ‘music’ in the Programme – I think Night Owl has created a powerful piece of immersive theatre.

The show closed at the space @ Surgeon’s Hall on 26th August.
