Aaron was given the nickname “Hot Wheels” after a one-night stand from a girl who couldn’t remember his name. He takes this in his stride and thinks it cool considering he’s had worse.
Simmonds takes us through some wild experiences that seem unbelievable. His hilarious stories are so well delivered making the audience howl, each layer of the story meticulously placed on top of the last. He is such an amazing storyteller and keeps his audience captive. We hear stories about his sexual encounters, being “healed” by Jesus and being diagnosed with CP by Dr Pepper, his GP.
There’s never a dull moment with Aaron and he seems delighted that these bizarre stories happen to him. By the end of the show, he is on his feet and hopes to challenge the binary thinking surrounding CP which was heart-warming for an audience member (and reviewer) with cerebral palsy to witness and left the show on a wonderful high.
